Book a visit from the society

If you would like us to visit your group or society then please fill in the form below, and we will get back in touch.  A fee will be charged depending on the type and size of your group.

Where required, we will make best endeavours to allow observation of astronomical objects using the society’s equipment, however this is weather dependant.  Contingency plans will need to be arranged is the weather does not allow any observations to take place.

Any booking is subject to availability of personnel and resources.  Please be aware that most of our volunteers work full time day-jobs so it is unlikely that we will be able to attend a weekday event which commences before 19:00.

Fees

Small non-profit organisations such as schools, scout & guide groups, the fee structure is as follows:

£45.00 per event

Larger for-profit businesses and charities who employ paid staff, the fee structure is as follows:

£150.00 per event

All proceeds from the outreach work and shop go to society funds. Sheffield Astronomical Society is a Registered Charity in England and Wales number 1106012.
